About

My name is Arista. I am a neurodivergent mother of two beautiful girls, two dogs, and a sweet little black cat. I am happily married living in the state of New Jersey. I repair band instruments for a living, and I craft when I am able, sometimes, even including my two girls (Aged 4 & 10).

I play in the New Jersey Gamer Symphony Orchestra where I play French Horn with my supportive best friend. Please feel free to check out the New Jersey Gamer Symphony Orchestra and support some amazing players!

I also enjoy raising money for various causes. In the course of 6 years, I lead a team which managed to raise over $50,000 for various charities such as St. Jude, The Children’s Miracle Network, The Twilight Wish Foundation, and ASAN. My family and I also participate in the Miles for Migraine walk yearly.

Although I don’t expect to save the world, I would like to think that my contributions will at least make a difference for someone. I always hope to inspire someone to try things outside of their comfort zone. Being Autistic and ADHD, it can be hard for me to take risks but here, I plan try. I do not expect for everything work out perfectly, but at least I will have the benefit of knowing that I had tried.

If you ever have a suggestion for a project that you want me to tackle, feel free to email me at aristasoverhaulsandovertures@gmail.com and I will happy see if I can tackle the project.

With time, I wish to grow a community where those who are also neurodivergent can craft and try new things without criticisms, celebrating their victories, and feeling accomplished.
